CPLI Cultivates New Generation of Future Leaders Through Innovative Thinking, Shattering Traditional Mindsets to Create Sustainable Innovation

CP Leadership Institute (CPLI) remains steadfast in its mission to cultivate leaders of tomorrow by hosting the FLP 19 Learning Day under the theme "INNOVATIVE THINKING." This initiative is designed to prepare and intellectually equip young executives in the CP Future Leaders Development Program (FLP), also known as the "Tao Kae Noi" project. The primary objective is to transform mindsets, shatter conventional frameworks, and build essential skills to navigate the ever-changing business landscape. Ultimately, this will drive the development of innovations that deliver positive value to both the organization and the national economy.

The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Kewalin Ratanasopinswat, who shared her expertise through a hands-on learning process. The session seamlessly integrated the principles of Design Thinking with Improvisation (Improv) techniques, creating a safe space for participants to practice out-of-the-box thinking and boldly ask questions. Real-world business challenges from various CP business groups were utilized as case studies for analysis and idea generation. This concrete approach effectively empowers the new generation of leaders to experiment with novel concepts and openly embrace diverse perspectives.

Beyond the intensive learning process, the activity provided profound insights that professionals across all fields can immediately apply to unlock both personal and team potential. The first key takeaway is a paradigm shift: Innovative Thinking is not an innate talent, but rather a skill that requires consistent practice and action, much like building and developing muscle memory. The second takeaway is the application of the golden rule of Improv—"Yes, And..." or the principle of acceptance and elaboration—in collaborative environments. This rule teaches us to stop blocking ideas with rejections and instead foster open-minded listening to co-create from the ideas of others. While some concepts may initially appear outlandish or impossible, daring to challenge and reverse traditional assumptions often reveals that these very ideas contain the most brilliant seeds of innovation.

Therefore, cultivating Innovative Thinking skills among the FLP Batch 19 participants goes far beyond standard operational efficiency training. It is about instilling the DNA of modern leaders who are highly adaptable, unafraid to experiment, willing to learn from mistakes, and possess a visionary outlook. As these leaders emerge as a vital driving force, they will become the core catalysts for creating new innovations. These innovations will not only propel the business to overcome all challenges in the digital era but will also elevate competitiveness and guide Thai society toward a truly sustainable future.
