CPLI Collaborates with Volunteers to Construct and Restore Firebreaks and Check Dams, Contributing to the Restoration of the Khao Phra Ya Doenthong Watershed Forest

The CP Leadership Institute (CPLI) led a delegation of executives and volunteer employees to participate in the "Firebreak and Check Dam Construction for Forest Fire Prevention" initiative. This collaborative effort involved various business units within the Charoen Pokphand Group, the Royal Forest Department, local community members, and students from Ban Khok Tum School, totaling over 200 participants. The activity took place at the CPF Ecosystem Conservation Project: Pa Sak River Basin – Khao Phra Ya Doenthong in Phatthana Nikhom Subdistrict, Phatthana Nikhom District, Lopburi Province. The volunteers united their efforts to construct fire prevention lines and moisture-retaining check dams as a proactive measure to mitigate drought conditions and prevent the spread of forest fires, which act as a significant threat to the upstream ecosystem.
This collective endeavor reflects CPLI's unwavering commitment to providing opportunities for employees to actively drive sustainability goals under the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework, particularly within the environmental and social dimensions. Engaging in tangible, on-site fieldwork not only aids in restoring the abundance of natural resources but also instills a profound sense of environmental stewardship among personnel. This initiative aligns seamlessly with Charoen Pokphand Group's "3-Benefits" philosophy, which prioritizes creating value for the nation and its people. The ultimate objective is to ensure the preservation of fertile forests that can coexist sustainably with the community and Thai society for generations to come.
