CPLI Launches Model “Sustainable Carbon Forestation Learning Center,” Driving Net Zero Goals through Tangible Environmental Strategies

The CP Leadership Institute (CPLI) continues to drive environmental goals into action through the Kick-Off Planting of the Sustainable Carbon Forestation Learning Center” activity. This marks a significant step in developing a 135-rai model area in preparation for participation in the Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER), supporting Charoen Pokphand Group’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050.

The activity took place at the Sustainable Carbon Forestation Learning Center located within CPLI in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, with the participation of more than 120 executives and employees from various CP Group Business Units. The event was led by Ms. Pimonrat Reepattanavijitkul, President of CP Leadership Institute (CPLI), and Dr. Sadudee Supanpai, Vice President, the Office of Sustainability, Governance, and Compliance of CPCRT. They were joined by over 60 future leaders from the “Taokae” leadership program who together planted 500 trees of Leucaena leucocephala subsp. glabrata (locally known as “Krathin Thepphanarong” or “Theppharong Variety”) to begin the development of an economic forest capable of carbon sequestration. The site is also envisioned to become a dynamic learning space for environmental education in the future.

This initiative reflects CPLI’s strong commitment to turning ESG principles into measurable outcomes, while building knowledge in forestry and carbon absorption at both the organizational and community levels. It aligns with the corporate core value of “Innovate,” a driving force behind the organization’s journey toward long-term sustainability.
