CPLI Strengthens Conservation Knowledge Through Field Visit to Khao Yai National Park as Part of T-VER Carbon Credit Training

As part of the 2025 “T-VER Carbon Credit Development Program” workshop, the CP Leadership Institute (CPLI) led a group of executives and participants on a field visit to Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima. The visit aimed to broaden environmental perspectives and deepen understanding of sustainable conservation management through direct learning in one of Thailand’s UNESCO World Heritage forest sites.

During the visit, participants attended a special briefing by the Head of Khao Yai National Park and the Director of the Protected Area Regional Office 1. These sessions provided valuable insights into natural resource and ecosystem conservation. The group also explored an environmental exhibition and embarked on an interpretive nature trail through lush evergreen and mixed deciduous forests, encountering various important species such as agarwood (Aquilaria), white-handed gibbons, and native forest birds. The journey concluded at “Gong Gheo Waterfall,” a notable scenic destination within the park.

This field visit was a vital component of the T-VER training program, designed to enhance participants' knowledge and capacity to implement carbon credit initiatives in alignment with the standards set by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO). Observations and best practices from the national park serve as practical references to guide future project development across CP Group’s business units.

The initiative also reinforces CPLI’s vision to serve as a “Center for Sustainability” within the organization. By learning directly from real-world conservation models, the program aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders equipped with a strong environmental conscience and the skills to apply their knowledge in ways that drive tangible, organization-wide, and societal change.
