CPLI Transforms Waste into a Kayak: Creating Value from Waste for the Benefit of Society

The CP Leadership Institute (CPLI) has taken an innovative step towards sustainability by providing 33 kilograms of recyclable waste to SDG Lab Sanchar at the 100 Years Puey Learning Park of Thammasat University. The materials—comprising bottle caps, milk bottles, lunch boxes, coffee cups, and aluminum cans—will be repurposed to manufacture a recycled kayak for public benefit activities.

This initiative not only reduces the amount of waste destined for landfills but also offers the community a unique tool for waterway cleanup. By transforming discarded materials into a functional, durable kayak, CPLI is fostering environmental awareness and promoting the efficient use of resources.

Aligned with the Zero Waste to Landfill concept and the broader sustainability strategy of the Charoen Pokphand Group, this project underscores CPLI’s commitment to achieving zero waste by 2030. It exemplifies how small, innovative actions can drive meaningful progress toward a sustainable future, benefiting both the environment and society as a whole.

Through projects like this, CPLI continues to pave the way for transformative recycling practices that convert waste into valuable assets, reinforcing its dedication to a greener and more resilient future for all.
