CPLI Reinforces its Eco-Friendly Vision, Earning the 12th LESS Certificate and Championing Floating Solar Innovation for Clean Energy Production Towards a Sustainable Future
CP Leadership Institute (CPLI), continues to drive its environmental and clean energy policies with concrete actions. Recently, the institute received a Letter of Recognition under the Low Emission Support Scheme (LESS) from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, administered by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO. This recognizes the successful installation of an 832 kWp floating solar cell system under the Energy Saving project for the year 2025. The project has been evaluated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an impressive 500.427 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. This achievement reflects the institute's unwavering commitment to energy management, an ongoing effort since 2022 that has proudly culminated in the accumulation of 12 certificates from various environmental projects, achieving a cumulative greenhouse gas reduction of 4,121.602 tCO2eq across all 12 certifications.
Transitioning to clean electrical energy through floating solar innovation is considered smart resource management that yields maximum efficiency. This innovation not only transforms water surfaces into power generation sources that reduce reliance on fossil fuels, but the cooling effect from the water mass below also helps dissipate heat from the solar panels. This enables the system to generate clean electrical energy at full capacity with greater stability. Furthermore, the panels act as a canopy that helps reduce the evaporation rate of the reservoir. This success delivers multiple benefits: enhancing clean energy security within the organization, conserving water resources, and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
