CPLI Advances Sustainability Goals with Ninth Greenhouse Gas Reduction Certificate

The CP Leadership Institute (CPLI) has received its ninth certificate from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) under the Low Emission Support Scheme (LESS). This latest recognition highlights the institute's ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development, achieved through a practical initiative involving the next generation of business leaders.
The certificate was awarded in recognition of a workshop undertaken by participants of the 16th Future Leaders Program (FLP), colloquially known as "Tao Kae Noi." The program provided an immersive learning experience where participants applied Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles by measuring more than 800 trees located on the CPLI campus. The measured trees were certified for a greenhouse gas absorption capacity equivalent to 282.028 tons of carbon dioxide.
This recent accomplishment contributes to CPLI's significant cumulative impact on greenhouse gas reduction. To date, the institute has achieved a total reduction of 3,033.586 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent across three key areas: Forestry and Agriculture, Energy, and Waste Management. Through these efforts, a total of 4,853 trees have been certified under the program.
The initiative is a direct reflection of CPLI’s core strategy to foster a sustainable organization guided by ESG principles. It also serves as a testament to the institute's preparedness for pursuing more ambitious environmental targets in the future.
Central to this activity was the emphasis on action-based learning. By engaging future leaders in hands-on environmental work, CPLI aims to cultivate a deep-seated awareness of sustainability. This approach aligns with its mission to serve as a model for sustainability and supports its long-term objectives of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2030 and Net Zero emissions by 2050. CPLI remains dedicated to cultivating leaders who appreciate the significance of operating a business that aligns with the "3-Benefits" principle, creating value for the country, society, and the organization.
