CPLI Advances Sustainability Goals Through “T-VER Carbon Credit Development Program” Workshop

CP Leadership Institute (CPLI), in collaboration with CPCRT’s carbon credit business and the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, recently organized the 2025 “T-VER Carbon Credit Development Program” workshop. Held at CPLI in Nakhon Ratchasima, the event welcomed over 70 participants from various CP Group companies. The objective was to enhance knowledge on developing project proposals under Thailand’s Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER) and to support the Group’s journey toward long-term greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction.

This initiative aligns with Charoen Pokphand Group’s core sustainability targets of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050. CPLI has been at the forefront of forestry-related efforts, including strategic afforestation over 235 rai and the upcoming establishment of a forest and economic tree learning center to disseminate practical knowledge to the public.

The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Pooriprat Bunnag, Vice President of Human Resources at CPLI. Dr. Sadudee Supanpai from the Office of Sustainability, Governance, and Compliance at CPCRT introduced the Group’s carbon credit business strategy and the “Forest in the Home” initiative. Technical training was conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Roongreang Poolsiri from the Department of Forest Management, Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, and Mr. Hongpicharn Buakhai, Project Advisor for the “Forest in the Home” program.

The session focused on equipping participants with the skills to develop a Project Design Document (PDD) for registration under the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO). The workshop also laid the groundwork for carbon credit measurement and future participation in carbon trading systems.

This collaboration represents a pivotal step in uniting business, academia, and operational stakeholders to create scalable environmental models across the Group and broader society. It reflects CPLI’s commitment to becoming a driving force in environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
