CPLI continues to make significant progress towards sustainable corporate governance through its 2024 CG Day #2 event, recognizing that strong governance forms the foundation of a resilient organization.
CP Leadership Institute (CPLI) recently hosted its Corporate Governance Day of 2024, or CG Day #2, to promote the principles of good governance, which are key to building a transparent and sustainable organization. The event aimed to raise awareness among employees and business partners about corporate governance practices within both CPLI and the Charoen Pokphand Group, fostering a culture of integrity across the organization.
Ms. Pimonrat Reepattanavijitkul, Chief People Officer of Charoen Pokphand Group and President of CPLI, opened the event by stating, "Good governance is the foundation of a strong organization. At CPLI, we are committed to ethical leadership, integrity, and the Three Benefits Philosophy in all operations. This organizational DNA must be passed on to employees and young leaders within the Charoen Pokphand Group."
The event featured a blend of keynote presentations and interactive activities. The topics covered five essential areas: governance, risk management, compliance, ethics, and sustainability. Participants gained a deeper understanding of how corporate governance contributes to organizational transparency and sustainability. Additionally, the event highlighted CPLI’s commitment to the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) framework through the use of recycled materials for photo backdrops, emphasizing the importance of environmental sustainability (E), clean energy usage, and the goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. The event also underscored social responsibility (S) by promoting a culture of accountability to communities.
Employees and business partners learned how to apply good governance principles in their daily work, enhancing their risk management, ethics, and sustainable business practices—essential skills for career advancement. The organization, in turn, benefited from promoting a culture of integrity and transparency, strengthening trust with business partners and stakeholders.
